It wasn’t until I sat next to an Asian Hitler lookalike that I realized Asia wasn’t very affected by the holocaust.

That is a Buddhist swastika, but good swastikas don’t have to go in any certain direction or be tilted. Also, Asia was effected by WWII greatly.

  15. americanruse said: Hon, that isn’t a Nazi swastika; theirs were canted (or tilted) with the arms going the other direction. That symbol is a spiritual one, and it was pretty widespread in the world before the Nazis appropriated it.

The swastika has been used in practically every culture for as long as documentation has been available with all positive meanings including: good luck, prosperity, fertility, inner strength, the Sun God, peace and love.
This blog is mainly to document the United States' use of the symbol as a sign of good including usage on products, good luck charms, archetecture and the Native Americans' usage.
